Xanax is addictive and not without risks, so here are the do’s and don’ts. The do’s: Choose to swallow Xanax. You can snort Xanax, but it’s bad for the nasal mucosa and has less effect. Watch the dosage when taking Xanax. A light dosage is 0.25-0.50 mg. An average dose is 0.50-1.50 mg. And a heavy dose is 1.50-2.00 mg. Xanax can make you very nauseous, so eat 1-2 hours before you use it. It’s nice to have a place to sleep nearby, because Xanax can make you sleepy. There is a chance of addiction, so be careful. Don’t use more than 2 mg the first time. Xanax reduces your response and co-ordination capabilities… which is dangerous when driving. It’s very risky to mix Xanax with alcohol, because they’re both downers. Don’t keep taking more, because the groggy effect remains.
